It wasn’t me. I didn’t do it! They didn’t have to run round screeching, “She’s popped the paddling pool with ‘er paws!” All I did was jump into the water and bounce off the squashy sides a few times but then this so called pool went all floppy and the water washed out everywhere. It was just no fun anymore.
The sausages were more fun even though they were a bit hot. Mind you, I had to gobble them quickly in case those kids got them. And it was just an accident that my tail knocked them off that barbecue thing. How was I to know it was hot? I had to move quickly – didn’t want a singed bottom, did I?
Then later there was even more trouble all because of the bit of mud on the settee. I felt sick after the sausages, the settee was empty (all humans outside) - so I thought, why not? I was just getting comfy when Master turfed me off and I have to admit I wasn’t watching where I was going and I did ACCIDENTALLY knock Mistress’s legs out from under her – but it was her that dropped that tray crammed with cups of tea – it wasn’t me! I didn’t do it!
While she was clearing up all these accidents got her thinking...
Here’s an idea for a story:
The trip: You’re on a school or a club trip and two of you do just that – trip! Who are they? Do they trip and crash into a whole row of suits of armour in a castle museum? Do they trip and fall down a hole on the top of the cliffs? Do they trip as you all run away from a band of monkeys that have escaped at the wildlife park? What happens next and what do you all do?
Landing pad: A massive flock of geese have been blown off course on their way to Iceland and exhausted they land at your school one morning. There are so many of them that they cover the roof and the whole of the playground and all the cars in the carpark. One by one they drift into school and settle down. What do you do? How long do they stay? Do they ever leave? Are they any help with lessons?
Virtually accidental: You are playing a favourite game on computer which allows you to make changes to the programme and create choices to follow. Somehow you connect with the Space Exploration Control of a foreign country and you activate the launch of their latest mission into space. You can follow it all on your screen but can you stop the launch? Do you want to? Where does it go? What happens to the crew?
